**Materials Controller**

you will be playing a pivotal role within the operations of the company.
**Duties and Responsibilities for the Equipment Control Leader/Materials Controller**:
- In collaboration with the Equipment Shift Managers, act as the linchpin between the equipment control team and equipment departments to ensure daily workload requirements are actioned in line with correct standards and given deadlines are adhered to.
- Complete frequent walk rounds/check ins with both the equipment department and materials/equipment control teams to ensure requirements are communicated and actioned effectively and any issues are resolved at first line level or escalated through the correct channels.
- Ensure daily priority of work is written and communicated clearly, working with the Equipment Shift Managers to proactively drive pace of work across the departments and any issues are communicated back to the Equipment Control teams efficiently.
- Focus your team on zero shortages for each Job/Job Part/order supplied to every customer.
- Improve loading performance/quality across all Shifts and to remove potential/all loading errors.
- Improve communications across all shifts within Operations and with the Sales Office.
- To have a constant open line of communication distribution, ensuring all vehicles required for loading are made available promptly, this will also include liaising with the returns dept, ensuring the correct vehicles are unloaded promptly.
- Focus on delivery on time and customer collection performance, suggesting and helping to implement process improvements to achieve these goals.
- Improve and then maintain the accuracy of our scanning and stock control performance.
- To regularly QC check equipment prepped in bays awaiting loading, ensuring all teams are adhering to the correct QC processes.
- To monitor the in house system to ensure all jobs are completed to the correct standards and to the relevant call time/delivery time.
- To manage the allocation of bays and ensure all are used efficiently and to their maximum capacity. Ensure clear and concise communication to all departments on any bay related changes/issues.
- To always make sure all equipment arriving at the building which is required for an immediate turnaround, such as repairs, shortages, or new stock is communicated to all teams and the process is completed to reach its required destination.
- Support and supervise other departments when required.
- Focus through leading the team and/or proactively working on yourself to at all times
- To clearly demonstrate Management qualities and leading the team from the front with the ability to highly motivate and encourage a flexible, productive and quality focused team.
- To ensure discipline within their functions is always upheld.
**Experience/Skills required for the Materials Controller/Equipment Control Leader**:
- Previous experience in materials control, equipment control or inventory control within a fast paced warehouse environment
- Good team leading experience
- Ability to manage own workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others and contribute to a positive environment.
- Good IT skills including MS Office (Excel)
