Lunchtime is an important part of every pupil’s day and something they look forward to It is their opportunity to explore their friendships and develop social skills as well as enjoying a meal with their peers. We recognise that children need to let off steam, play, explore and socialise at lunch time.

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and fun person to lead successful play at lunch time at Swaffham Primary Academy ensuring that children have a safe and fun time. We have a huge site which includes a very large field as well as a playground area and woodland areas for children to explore.

We have a wonderful team of Midday Supervisors and a Student and Families Liaison Worker who, alongside our leadership team and team of teachers, support our children to have a successful lunchtime experience. You would be joining this fantastic team with the aim of leading play and working with our pupils to lead, teach and run activities at lunchtime.

We are looking for a positive, inspirational person who is passionate about ensuring our children have an enjoyable lunchtime experience full of fun, exercise and energy. If you would like to be part of our great team, we would love to hear from you.

- can relate to children well and enjoys organising play activities to engage every child
- can teach children how to play games and follow appropriate rules
- can support children to learn from their peers
- is well motivated with a calm manner
- has a positive attitude and is keen to help every pupil have an enjoyable lunchtime
- can mediate and help children to solve problems
- promotes social skills
- has the ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues
- holds positive mental health and wellbeing at the heart of all they do
- understands the integral part lunchtime plays in a pupil’s school day

**Swaffham CE Primary Academy** is part of Diocese of Norwich Educational and Academies Trust (DNEAT). We are a friendly school situated in the growing market town of Swaffham and currently have 221 children on roll from Reception to Year 6. Ofsted recognised (March 2018) that we are a ‘good’ school.
