Endoscopy Receptionist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of receptionists working in our Endoscopy sites at Musgrove Park and Bridgwater Hospital. Unit open hours are 8.00- 1800 Monday-Friday (full time post will cover 4 x9.5 hour days a week).

There is 1 full time post and 1 part time post available.

We are looking to recruit x2 motivated individuals with experience of working as an administrator/receptionist preferably in the hospital setting.

The post holder will be able to work flexibly in the role which will involve: the admission and discharge of patients in a reception capacity; supporting the clinical teams with the units administration duties including requesting and preparation of patients medical records.

Using hospital IT systems to document the arrival and discharge of patients and to work alongside the operational manager for Endoscopy assisting with day to day administration tasks.

To admit, discharge and transfer all patients attending the unit, ensuring that appropriate reports and outcomes are circulated to the referring clinician/GP as required, updating the 18 week pathway as appropriate.

To answer telephone enquiries throughout the day in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring appropriate messages are passed onto the relevant people in a timely manner.

This may include calls from patients, relatives, GPs or internal staff members.
