**POST**: Domestic Assistant

**ACCOUNTABLE TO**: Manager

**GENERAL**:The post holder will maintain the cleaning schedule for all of The Cottage Nursing Home and follow the procedure for cleaning rota’s.

**KEY DUTIES OF THE POST**:
1. You will be responsible for the general cleanliness of the Home, in accordance with the cleaning rota and Managers instructions.

2. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home having good knowledge of COSHH and infection control issues..

3. To be aware of the homes procedures & policies in relation to health and safety requirements.

4. To provide an efficient response to emergency situations.

5. Where required, to attend in-service programmes and discussions appropriate to this appointment.

6. To understand the requirement for confidentiality in all matters relating to staff team members and residents.

7. To work in accordance with duty rosters on a flexible basis.

8. To report any faults, loss or damage to equipment.

To have regard to Health and Safety issues at work at all times

In liaison with colleagues to promote Equality of Opportunity and anti-discriminatory activity throughout the Home.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.44 per hour
