**Key duties of a CNC Machinist**:

- Set and operate a range of CNC and NC machines (Bridgeport,Colchester CMZ and Prototrak)
- A basic understanding of engineering principals (Drilling, tapping, threading, countersinking, etc)
- Create and Edit programs at the machine.
- Carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools.
- Self-inspection of machined parts.
- Produce high quality components for a mixture of prototype, low volume and medium volume jobs.
- No offline programming.

**To be considered for this position, you’ll need**:

- Conversant with setting & operating CNC mills & lathes.
- Ability to confidently set and operate CNC mills & lathes.
- 5+ years CNC machining experience
- Proven self-inspection skills
- Deburring
- Stock cutting
- Familiar with a range of materials (Aluminium, steel, stainless steel, and super alloys)
