Key activities will include:

- Preparation of sales invoices and posting to sales ledger.
- Checking of purchase invoices and posting to purchase ledger.
- Bank reconciliation and posting of cash receipts and payments to sales and purchase ledgers.
- Assisting with credit control.
- Checking of petty cash returns and posting of cash payments.
- Checking credit card statements and posting of credit card payments.
- Managing the administration of the purchase order process ensuring that all expenditure is properly authorised and recorded.
- Reconciling Service User accounts and ensuring correct invoicing for expenditure incurred on their behalf.
- Managing utilities (ensuring regular meter reads, calculated costs and reconciliation to actual bills).
- Managing the administration of company vehicles (MOTs, servicing, repairs, insurance and fuel cards).
- Undertaking verification checks to support the monthly payroll process.
- Ad hoc projects to support the development of the business.
- Be numerate with good organisational skills.
- Have an enthusiastic and methodical approach.
- Be comfortable in the care environment.
- Have experience of working in a finance department.
- Be comfortable with IT and be experienced in using Sage accounting software.

The role is expected to be full time (5 days per week / 40 hours) but a 4 days per week option may be considered.

25 days holiday plus statutory Bank Holidays

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
