**Specification Sales Manager (M&E / Construction)**
**London/Home Counties/Home based**
**£55,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Home/Field based + pension + career development**
Are you a Technical Sales professional from a Construction or M&E background looking to work for one of the UKs leading providers of M&E products and services to the commercial construction sector?
Are you looking for an independent role where you will deliver major new business from both predominantly principal contractors (influencers) and main sub-contractors (customers) from both existing customers and new business?
On offer is a role within a modern M&E consultancy that is family run and focused on continuous improvement that will provide an excellent support system, product training and actively encourages career development and progress.
You will be developing key business delivering support, suspension, channelling and pipework products and services into key contractors.
Reporting to the Head of Technical you will forge strong customer relationships while resolving customer compliance issues, develop trusted relationships with influencers and help drive this through the sub-contractor pipeline.
With experience and a thorough understanding of the construction industry, the phases of construction and principal and main contractors you will be responsible for
**The Role**:

- Identify new business opportunities typically sourced via discussions with existing contacts, referrals, general market awareness, networking and project work.
- Working with marketing to quantify these leads.
- Research key decision makers within existing and new customers and influencers.
- Protect existing customer accounts from competition by developing strong relations and promoting key strategy.
- Pass quotations onto the commercial team to generate, quote and follow up on.

**The Person**:

- Construction/M&E Specification Sales experience.
- Experience of the different phases of Construction and selling to principal and main contractors.
- Ability to read Design drawings and a reasonable understanding of engineering.
