We are recruiting a Senior Site Manager for our client, one of London's leading residential-led mixed-use developers, to be based on a large development in Wembley. This would ideally suit someone from a Civil Engineering background, with extensive management experience.

The Civils, Frame and Façade Site Manager will be a key member of the site management team. They will be responsible for the management & construction for all concrete works both Substructure & Superstructure and the installation of the façade thereafter. The site manager will undertake these works in order to achieve required project delivery to the customers’ objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control. You will be responsible for the delivery of various projects, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the maximum commercial performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers and Engineers to ensure that project is completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Management

* Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the Civils, RC Frame and Façade.

* Deliver the work to the specified quality without defects and in line with the SOW.

* Conform to building regulations and warranty providers’ requirements.

* Lead a team of Subcontractors to deliver the work safely without environmental incidents, and to the specified quality.

* Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITP’s plus other Safe Systems of Works, when specified, in line with Company procedures.

* Ensure that procedures and controls are fully implemented by all site personnel.

* Undertake routine SHEQ inspections of the works and the project.

* Ensure the commercial performance of the contract is maximised.

* Implement, manage and monitor the construction programme for the Civils, RC Frame and Façade as well as producing 2 weekly look ahead programmes.

* Manage procurement schedules and liaise with the project team and Subcontractors to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks.

* Organise/chair weekly site meetings for the pre-planning of the works and ensure efficient reporting of progress. All meetings to have minutes uploaded to the share portal.

Person Specification:

The successful candidate will need considerable experience in Civils, RC Frame and Façade works of high riser projects as well as an appreciation for details and working thoroughly.

Essential

Considerable experience in Groundworks, RC Frame and Façade works as a Site Manager/Engineer for a Tier 1 contractor, delivering projects to a high standard.

Working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme and Risk Management.

Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, or equivalent.

Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes relevant to the works.

Experience managing subcontractor works of value £5m or greater.

Experience in producing, reviewing, and implementing Safe Systems of Work for task specific activities.

Experience in producing look ahead programmes, implementing and analysing.

Knowledge of JCT of contracts.

CSCS (Site Manager).

SMSTS or SSSTS.

Excellent written & communication, people, and team management skills.

Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion.

Ability to demonstrate the right behaviours and motivate and lead the team in line with the Company culture, ensuring high standards of compliance.

Proficient in using Asta Powerproject, Microsoft including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience with Procore would be beneficial.
