An exciting CNC Turner position has become available in Harlow at a precision engineering company.

Job Title: CNC Turner Programmer

Shift: Day Shift, 42.5 hours a week, early finish Fridays

Rate: Up to £20 p/h

The Job

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner with expertise in operating the Sinumerik 828 (Siemens) control system. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and programming CNC turning machines to produce high-precision components according to technical specifications.

* Set up and operate CNC turning machines equipped with Sinumerik 828 controls.

* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

* Program CNC turning machines using Sinumerik 828 control software.

* Select appropriate tools, materials, and cutting parameters for each job.

* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines.

* Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.

* Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to maintain product quality.

* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

* Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Requirements

* Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company

* Sinumerik (Siemens) experience

* Working to tight tolerances
