Weekly Hours: 39 hours
Monday – Thursday: 07:00 AM – 04:00 PM
Friday: 07:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Overtime: Available on request
Monday – Friday: Paid at 1.25x the regular hourly rate
Saturday and Sunday: Paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
Salary: £12.87 - £15.50 per hour (Standard Day Shift)
Holidays: 29 days of paid leave annually (including Statutory and Bank Holidays)

About the Role:
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive QA Technician to join our team on the day shift in Ashington. As a QA Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products. Your responsibilities will include inspecting incoming goods, performing in-house and shop floor inspections, and managing the calibration of measuring equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods and in-house products.
Perform regular patrol inspections on the shop floor to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain and organize the calibration of internal measuring equipment, coordinating with accredited external sources.
Keep client MNC/CAR registers up-to-date on customer portals.
Operate the Mitutoyo CMM machine daily (programming knowledge is a plus).
Perform final inspections and quality checks on parts before shipment.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar inspection role.
Familiarity with Mitutoyo CMM machines is desirable.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication skills for liaising with external calibration sources and maintaining accurate records.
