Platen Operator – Night Shift

OA is looking for a Platen Operator to join our clients dynamic and growing team.

This opportunity involves joining UK & Ireland’s top visual communications specialist, offering cutting-edge multi-channel marketing services to brands and retailers.

We’re seeking an experienced Platen Operator with excellent attention to detail and a strong track record of reliability. Previous experience in a print environment would be ideal.

Location: The office is currently in Waltham Abbey; however, it is relocating to Bishops Stortford.

Hours: 7pm-5:30am. Monday – Thursday.

Salary: £13.00-£14.50 per hour

Platen Operator - Key Responsibilities:

Report to the supervisor for work allocation and paperwork.
Check job dockets and follow QC processes.
Set up jobs and get supervisor approval.
Perform quality checks and label finished work.
Log job details in Optimus RDC and report faults.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow recycling procedures.
Report hazards and unsafe practices.
Change blades and complete daily check sheets
Platen Operator - Skills and Experience:

Must have experience working on Platen machines (ESSENTIAL)
To effectively follow verbal and written instructions and raise issues that arise.
Ability to complete paperwork in English accurately and completely, understand the importance of detail and accuracy
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
Self-managing and pro-active.
