The Role

Are you a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer? Do you have the skills and experience to handle a diverse range of residential conveyancing matters? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a well-established legal practice, looking to appoint a pro-active and conscientious Residential Conveyancer to our growing team.

You will play a key role in helping clients buy and sell houses by providing efficient and accessible conveyancing services. This position offers a unique opportunity to handle a diverse and interesting workload within a supportive and dynamic team.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working between the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday inclusive. For the right candidate, part-time hours (minimum 28 hours per week) would be considered. We also offer hybrid working after an initial induction period. Salary will be market rate and additional benefits include 24 days’ paid holiday plus bank holidays, parking on site, death in service benefit, Employee Assistance Scheme, BUPA membership (legally qualified members) and pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

Running of file day to day, including prompt e-mail responses.
Title checking.
Mortgage Offer checking.
Exchanges and Completions.
Checking accounts ledgers.
Preparing/checking Completion Statements and invoices.
Giving estimates.
Help to Buy matters.
Training and supervision of Assistant(s).
Support to other Fee Earners during their holidays.
Cross-selling of firm’s products/services.
Client and Estate Agent contact.

The Person

Qualified Solicitor, CILEx Lawyer, or Licensed Conveyancer with experience in residential property transactions, from initial instructions through to post-completion and everything in between.
We are also open to applications from experienced Residential Conveyancers who are already in the process of qualifying through either CLC or CILEx and we will support you through to completion of your qualification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
