We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Geography to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview:
As a Teacher of Geography, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective geography lessons that inspire and engage students. You will play a key role in helping students develop their geographical knowledge, skills, and understanding of global issues. This position requires a dynamic and innovative educator who can adapt to the needs of diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5.
Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives.
Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
Provide constructive feedback to support students' academic growth and understanding.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the Geography department.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Geography at secondary level, with a track record of achieving excellent student outcomes.
Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum and current educational practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
