The School and Role

As a Classroom Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. The schools you will work in are dedicated to welcome and support new staff into their school. At most sites, you will find parking and nearby transport links. Our client schools look for motivated individuals who look to make an impact on students' lives.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared plans and materials during the short-term absence of teachers.
Ensuring students remain on task with the work set by the absent teacher.
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Supporting students in their learning and addressing any questions or concerns.
Reporting any issues or incidents to school staff.
Provide guidance and support to students to help them complete their assigned tasks.
Collaborate with other school staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

The successful Classroom Supervisor will have;

Experience working with secondary school students is highly desirable.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt to different school environments and teaching styles.
A passion for education and supporting student development.
A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
