Responsibilities and duties
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
Pre-planned and reactive maintenance duties on all electrical, controls and instrumentation assets across the power station
Fault finding/maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, level & flow) and control systems
Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
Programming the sites DCS and other PLC systems
Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
Conducting continuous improvement activities, plant modifications and design work
Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
A recognised electrical or controls and instrumentation engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or HNC preferred
At least 4 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc.
Candidates with an Instrumentation bias are preferred
Have significant experience working with PLC's, Control Systems, DCS, SCADA and Instrumentation
Personal skills
The EC&I Technician would suit someone who is:
Ability to work well alone or in a team
Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.
Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
