Job Summary:

As the successful HGV Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our client's buses, encompassing diagnostics, repairs, and servicing. Join a team dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the industry and contributing to the exceptional quality, safety, and innovation that define our client's commitment to their customers.

Responsibilities for the HGV Mechanic:

-          Conduct safety checks and follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

-          Participate in equipment installations and upgrades as needed.

-          Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

-          Carrying out maintenance and repairs on all bus vehicles.

-          Ensure that all vehicles worked on are handled carefully and that precautions are taken whilst in the workshop and/or customer premises.

-          Diagnose and rectify faults.

-          Plan and prioritise & execute the maintenance workload for site engineering personnel.

-          Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

The right HGV Mechanic:

-          NVQ level 2/3 heavy vehicle maintenance

-          Proven experience in a maintenance role working on heavy vehicle systems.

-          Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.

-          Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

-          To be an efficient, neat, and disciplined commercial vehicle technician

-          Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

-          Dedication to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
