Manpower is currently looking for Gardner/Groundsman to join an established, well-regarded company in Harlow who provides housing repairs, maintenance, facilities management and environmental services.

The role of the gardener involves using a variety of tools and monitoring the health of plants and trees while maintaining the landscape. This includes working within local parks, residential areas that are too small for ride-on lawn mowers, and streets.

Some key responsibilities would be:

Mowing, edging, and maintaining lawns.
Pruning and trimming trees, shrubs, and hedges.
Planting and maintaining flowers, trees, and shrubs.
Operating and maintaining grounds-keeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other tools.
Keeping pathways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas clean and free of debris.
Ensuring that all grounds are safe and aesthetically pleasing for visitors and users.

Requirements

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, digging, and operating heavy machinery.
Endurance to work long hours outdoors in various weather conditions.
Hold a full UK Driver's license.
Previous experience in landscaping or maintenance is desirable, however, if you have gardening experience as a hobby and can use various equipment, this will also be considered...
Proficiency in using and maintaining grounds-keeping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems.
Keen eye for detail to ensure that grounds are maintained to high standards.

The hourly rate for this role is £13.09. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Starting in July, the hours will change to Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday, 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
