Location: Hackney, East London
Hours: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:00pm

About:

A welcoming and supportive all girls secondary school with easy access to the open green spaces of Hackney Downs Park and Hackney Marshes. The Role:

We are seeking a kind and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join our wonderful school in September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with some experience working with children to develop this within a supportive school environment. The role with predominantly involve supporting students with SEN, so experience working with individuals with additional needs is ideal.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and provide particular support for students, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes
Establish strong working relationships with students
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
Liase with the teacher and other staff to implement strategies to best support students
Encourage positive behaviour, and handle any conflict in line with school policy

Candidate Requirements:

Experience working with secondary aged children in some capicity
Experience working with individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Enthusiasm for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
A Bachelors degree is preffered but not a must
