Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teacher to join this special school in Camden as a key stage 2/lower key stage 3 teacher. This is a full time, long-term role from September 2024.

The School:

The school supports children from Camden primary and secondary schools with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, allocated a place through SEN consultation or via the Securing Education Board on a short-term placement. A high number of pupils here also have an additional diagnosis of autism, ADHD or medical needs. Class sizes are therefore smaller with up to six pupils per class and there is a high staff-to-pupil ratio so that children are given the correct support when needed across the school day.

As a SEN teacher you will be responsible for the below:

Planning and delivering lessons for pupils with SEMH
Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions.
Support behaviour by following the children's plans
Updating and setting targets for children.
Working alongside other professionals in the support networkTo join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need:

QTS or extensive experience as an instructor
Previous experience working within SEMH or SEN
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
