Junior Estimator

Our client is a young and progressive provider of BMS, electrical installations, and heating services across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail and residential. They are dedicated to delivering innovative, high-quality solutions that enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of their clients' facilities.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a motivated Junior Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of cost estimates for BMS, electrical installations, and heating services projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company.

Junior Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labour, and equipment.
Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work.
Gather and analyse data from suppliers, subcontractors, and internal resources to support the estimation process.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive and accurate estimates.
Maintain and update a database of unit costs and historical project data.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.
Monitor and track changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
Support the negotiation of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
Participate in site visits and meetings as required to gather information and clarify project requirements.

Junior Estimator

Qualifications:

1 - 2 years' experience in an estimating position
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Understanding of electrical systems, BMS, and heating services is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
