Location: Poole
Job Type: Permanent, Double Days (6am - 2pm) - (2pm - 10pm)
Salary: CompetitiveWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance department. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant, equipment, buildings, and facilities. The successful candidate will be hands-on, maintaining and improving all aspects of the operational site through planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance.

Day to Day of the role:

Fault finding within the machine shop environment and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems as needed.
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on machines and equipment in line with the CMMS schedule.
Maintaining a high standard of site facilities and the overall site environment/appearance.
Highlighting opportunities for continuous improvement regarding plant and equipment reliability.
Working safely and tidily in accordance with company policy.
Performing other duties as reasonably required, commensurate with the nature and level of the post.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

A formal, recognised apprenticeship related to the trade endorsed by EITB, EMTA, AMA documentation or equivalent experience.
Fully skilled with either mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical bias.
Practical experience in fault finding within a machine shop environment.
Demonstrable understanding and application of safe working practices.
Positive, pro-active, can-do attitude and ability to work calmly under pressure.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Committed to working to deadlines and determined to see a job through to a satisfactory conclusion.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
PC literate.

Desirable Criteria:

Ability to fault find from electrical/mechanical drawings or PLC systems.
Training & experience in basic electrical skills.
Knowledge of modern maintenance philosophy (TPM / PPM / RCM).
Academic qualifications such as BTEC National (ONC / OND), BTEC Higher National (HNC or HND) or equivalent.
