Are you passionate about science and eager to support students' learning experiences? GSL Education is currently seeking a dedicated Science Technician for a secondary girls school in Newham. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in the science department and enhance students' educational journeys.

Science Technician Job Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons.
Assist teachers and students during practical experiments.
Maintain and organize the science laboratories and prep rooms.
Ensure all equipment and chemicals are stored safely and securely.
Monitor and manage stock levels of materials and equipment.
Provide technical support and advice to both students and staff.
Follow health and safety procedures and ensure a safe working environment.
Science Technician Job Requirements:

Previous experience as a Science Technician in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of scientific equipment and laboratory procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A keen interest in science and education.
Flexibility and willingness to support other departments when needed.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
