Mechanical Supervisor

Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Supervisor to start ASAP at a static secure government facility based near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

This is a permanent, full time position working to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern – 8am – 8pm.
This will include some weekend working.

£(phone number removed) per annum salary + 25 days paid annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays + company benefits package, training and career progression available.

Overtime at x1.5 and x2 is also available to maximise earnings.
 
Job Purpose

Co-ordinate and manage the shift pattern Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works including emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements.
Provide the first line support for Building & Facilities Maintenance Group (B&FM)
Provide support to the administration / helpdesk team as appropriate
Support a Centre of Excellence delivery across all Shift activities.
Review RAMS and arrange access where required.
Provide Leadership and technical guidance to the team,
Ensure works are programmed and planned to achieve 100% Statutory ComplianceThe knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or similar related mechanical discipline
Legionella awareness
Understanding of water quality regulations
High level of willingness with a “can do” attitude
Good Communication Skills, with the ability to ‘be in touch’ at all levels
Able to make decisions that will support the aims and objects of the contract in supporting the Client’s objectives
Good Literacy
Good PC Skills
Health and Safety Training
Experience in computer PPM management systems
