Major Recruitment are searching for a Mechanical Fitter for our client based in Gateshead. This vacancy is full-time and permanent for the right candidate.
Duties include:
Use of hand tools to put together, install, maintain and repair equipment and machinery
Reading of mechanical drawings
Self-inspection of workHours of work and pay rate:
Monday to Thursday
07:30am till 17:15pm, 37 hours per week
Earlier starts and finishes possible if needed
£16.24 per hour, after 12 week probation an additional weekly allowance of £94.71 is paid
Overtime available, x1.3 Monday to Friday, x1.5 Saturday and x2 SundaySuccessful candidates must have the following:
Be time served
Experience of sub assembly and build of small items essential
Experience of build of larger components and machinery advantageousFor this role successful candidates will be expected to travel internationally to support service.
