Structural Engineer

We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to join a team of Engineers and Designers in a vibrant and busy civil and structural design practice based in Altrincham. Our client has a great reputation and is involved in some interesting and varied buildings projects.
As Structural Engineer you will work on a variety of projects across residential, commercial, high-rise, leisure, education, industrial sectors amongst others.
As a Structural Engineer you will work in modern offices in a friendly and collaborative work environment where your voice will be heard, and a range of benefits including hybrid working option to give you a good work life balance, and extensive support to gain chartered status.
On Offer
Base salary c35k-45k Depending on Experience
6% pension
Yearly bonus
Clear progression path to senior/principal
Structured support in gaining chartership

About you and the role
* Structural design to all relevant standards and European Codes
* Producing preliminary design solutions
* Producing detailed designs, calculations and specifications
* Design in all forms of construction including steelwork, reinforced / precast concrete, masonry and timber, under the supervision of a Senior Structural engineer
* Assistance with site inspections
* You will have 2 to 3yrs+ structures design experience (refurbs/extensions/new builds)
* You will have a knowledge of structural design using all relevant UK and European codes of practice and a general understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber
* You will ideally be on a chartered plan or looking to gain chartership
* Have used design software such as TSD, Tedds, Etabs etc.
