A well-regarded primary school in Putney, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 team for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position is ideal for someone with previous UK teaching assistant experience who is passionate about supporting young learners and contributing to their educational journey.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons for Year 1 students.
Provide support to individual pupils and small groups, ensuring all students reach their potential.
Help with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
Support the management of classroom behavior in line with school policies.
Assist in the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teaching staff and other teaching assistants to enhance the educational experience for all pupils.
Ensure the safety and welfare of all pupils, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school is essential.
Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and teaching practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A caring, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
