Deputy Nursery Manager

We are seeking a Deputy Nursery Manager for a term time only setting close to Pulborough, Sussex. This nursery believes in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive during their early years. The nursery is a place where learning is fun, and every child is encouraged to explore, grow, and develop their unique talents.
The successful candidate will support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are maintained. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about early childhood education and looking to make a significant impact in a supportive and friendly environment.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the nursery
Ensure that the nursery provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children
Lead and inspire a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance and support as needed
Develop and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Maintain positive relationships with parents and carers, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally
Ensure all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety, are followed meticulously
Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledgeKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
Previous experience in a nursery setting, with leadership or supervisory experience
Thorough understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
