We are looking for an Assembly Operative to work in a mechanical capacity for a manufacturing firm in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

Starting salary between £12-£13ph with training provided. Overtime is also regularly available, all at increased rates of pay.

The company are looking for someone who has a foundation level or a basic working knowledge in mechanical engineering.

Overview of the role: -

You will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and will be involved with the production of engines using hand / power tools.
Assembly Operative duties: -

As an assembly operative you will be required to complete assembly of mechanical, electrical & hydraulic components by reading engineering drawings
Operating various hand, air, and power tools to manufacture machinery in a timely manner
Perform component re-work as and when needed
Responsible for picking parts to a pick list accurately
Supporting the rest of the team by testing and preparing parts for final dispatch
Ideally you will have a manufacturing background with some form of engineering qualification. Or have worked in a similar production role that involves mechanical assembly.

You must be competent with hand / power tools, able to follow drawings & instructions & work to your own initiative.

Hours of work: -

Monday - Friday, 07:00-15:30
