Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: Rugby, CV21

Annual Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE)

Working Days & Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 a.m. - 5.30 p.m.
Friday: 08:30 a.m. -1.00 p.m.

Purpose of the Financial Controller:
The Financial Controller manages the company's financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate financial documents, regulatory compliance, and overall financial health, while also shaping the company's financial strategy and processes.

Key Duties:

Prepare annual statutory accounts and manage audits and UK Corporation Tax returns
Produce quarterly management accounts with analysis and commentary
Prepare annual R&D tax claims, budgets, and forecasts
As a Financial Controller you will maintain the fixed assets register and verify accounts payable
Reconcile the balance sheet and manage general ledger accruals and prepayments.
Provide information for company insurances and submit government statistical surveys
Liaise with Companies House and support external auditors
Ensure compliance with legislation and offer financial advice to the Board
Provide financial data for strategic decisions and collaborate on cost control
Assist the Finance Director and oversee a small finance team

Key Requirements:

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Degree-level education preferred
Experience with VAT and Corporation Tax reporting
Proficient in SAGE Accounting Software and MS Excel
As a Financial Controller you must possess excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
High integrity, dependability, and results-oriented
