Freight Operator – Package Overview

* Our Client is a Market leading multinational Logistics company with over 50 years of trading

* They are now looking for a Freight Operator to join their team in Burton on a full-time permanent basis.

* The company had gone from strength to strength over the decades and continue to push the boundaries.

* They currently operate a multi modal operation.

Freight Operator – Roles and Responsibilities

* To receive customer orders via different means including telephone, email, and customer specific transport portals

* To accurately create orders via internal operating system

* Match the order to a resource solution using network of Transport Suppliers through utilisation of supplier selection rules

* Communicate in a timely and professional manner the schedule for collection and delivery, paying special attention to specific requirements

* Monitor onsite safety requirements, driver PPE, transit time, ADR requirements and security procedures

* Report and non-conformance to the Operations Manager

* To provide bespoke key performance indictors to the specific clients

* Monitor the profitability of the activity in conjunction with the operations manager

* To attend client meetings upon request and agreement of the UK Director

Freight Operator – Skills and Experience

* Candidate must have some prior export, Import and/or customs experience

* Restricted Goods & Dangerous Goods, experience of these commodities would be advantageous to employment but not essential

* Good communication skills with colleagues at all levels as well as external customers

* Ensure legislative compliance in all areas
