Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Teacher to join this special school in Enfield as an English Teacher. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September 2024.

The School:

The school supports children from Enfield primary schools with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) who have been permanently excluded, allocated a place through SEN consultation or via the Securing Education Board on a short-term placement. A high number of pupils here also have an additional diagnosis of autism and/or ADHD. Class sizes are therefore smaller with up to six pupils per class and there is a high staff-to-pupil ratio so that children are given the correct support when needed across the school day.

As an SEN English teacher you will be responsible for the below:

Planning and delivering English lessons (entry level to GCSE level)
Assessing work and monitoring progress
Working with the support staff to put in place and run interventions
Support behaviour by following the children's plans
Updating and setting targets for children
Working alongside other professionals in the support networkTo join us and be successful in this role you will ideally need :

QTS
Experience of teaching English up to GCSE level
An understanding of SEMH
Strong class management skills
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
