CNC Turner

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering company, based in Redditch, West Midlands. Our client are specialists in the production and manufacture of machined parts and components for a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Energy, and many more.

Our client are now actively looking for an experienced CNC Turner (Setter/Operator) to join their growing team on a full-time, permanent basis, on their permanent afternoon shift OR their night shift.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (14:00 until 22:00 - AFTERNOONS) OR Monday to Thursday (22:00 until 06:00 - NIGHTS)

Pay: £15-16 per hour + shift allowance (Total pay is £18 to £20 per hour).

Key Responsibilities:

* Set up and operate a range of Doosan CNC lathes to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

* Performing tool and offset changes.

* Program editing when required.

* Monitor machine operations to ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

* Make adjustments to machine settings to optimize production output and minimize downtime.

* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

* Previous experience setting up and operating CNC lathes is required.

* Experience working with fixed head twin spindles and bar feeders.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

* Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
