About Us: This primary school in the heart of Tower Hamlets is dedicated to providing an inclusive, nurturing, and supportive environment for all the students. They believe in empowering every child to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally. As part of our commitment to student well-being, they are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Psychologist to join our team.
Role and Responsibilities: As the School-Based Psychologist, you will:
* Provide 1:1 psychological support to students, helping them navigate personal, social, and academic challenges.
* Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
* Offer crisis intervention and ongoing counseling to students dealing with mental health issues.
* Contribute to the development of school policies and programs that promote mental health awareness and resilience.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A recognized degree in Psychology and relevant postgraduate qualifications.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible approach, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
