A few of the Main duties for the Account Manager role:
Main duties:
• Manage the customer relationships and P/L account in respect of your portfolio/ category of products
• Ensure strong relationships with the procurement team to ensure accurate margin forecasts, high quality and strong inbound performance.
• Identify trends within the market, the category using information from various sources and taking into account demographic and market changes.
• Carry out New Product Development. Identify new products for existing and new markets. Follow the NPD procedure.
• Make proposals and presentations to your line manager, Board and others outlining category plans, and presenting other information that may be required from time to time. Reading and writing reports relevant to your area of responsibility.
• Use PR resources to ensure that we are represented in both Trade and local press.
• Travel in the UK and overseas is a required in this role.
• Manage, direct, mentor and coach account managers, purchasing executives and assistants within your category.
