Job Title: Labouring operative 

Pay rate: 11.50 to 14.00 due to experience 

Location: Buntingford 

Job Summary: The Labourer is responsible for performing various manual tasks to support This role involves physical labour, use of hand tools, and operation of equipment to assist in the completion of projects. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and able to work in various environmental conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform manual labour tasks including loading and unloading materials, digging, lifting, and carrying.
Use hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
Assist with the setup and clean-up of job sites.
Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
Operate machinery and equipment as directed.
Ensure tools and equipment are stored properly and maintained in good working condition.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Complete tasks efficiently and within the allocated time frame.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a labourer or in a similar role.
Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
Good communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Basic understanding of safety procedures and practices.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects 
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
Comfort working in environments that may include exposure to weather, noise, and dust.
Working Conditions:

Outdoor and indoor environments depending on the task.
Potential exposure to varying weather conditions and temperatures.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
