A primary school in the Brixton area of SE London is seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their SEN unit. The unit caters to small classes of 10 students, all of whom have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) needs. This role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of Autism, ideally with experience working in a school setting or in related fields such as social care.

Role Overview:

Focused Support: As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a small group of pupils, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.
Specialised Environment: The unit is designed to support children with ASC, and your role will involve creating a positive, structured environment that enables each child to thrive.
Collaborative Approach: You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals, including teachers and other support staff, to ensure each pupil receives the care and education they need.Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils with ASC, helping them engage with the curriculum and develop social skills.
Assist in implementing individualised learning plans and behaviour strategies.
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress and adjust support as needed.
