My client in the South West of England, is seeking an experienced Ecologist to work with the Town Planning Department on a 6 month contract, part-time and full-time availability are both considered.
 
Duties Include:
·Undertaking Biodiversity Net Gain assessments
·Complete Habitat Regulation Assessments
·Conducting bat surveys
·Providing specialist technical advice to Local Authorities on ecology, biodiversity, nature conservation and Habitats.
·Advise on the impact of new developments on biodiversity, ecology and nature conservation resources on behalf of Local Authority.
·Experience in survey and mitigation for habitats and species, and in ecological impact assessment, consultation, project design and management.
 
Requirements:
·A degree in biology/ecology or directly related subject. An additional higher degree would be an advantage
·Would be beneficial to be a Chartered member of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
·Experience in the UK ecological consultancy market with a strong client facing approach.
·Personal conservation licence for/working towards at least one protected species.
 
This role can be worked on a hybrid basis - Part time and Full time applicants both invited.
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - Flexible depending on experience
