Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons that engage and provide appropriate challenge for students, fostering a love for the subject.

* Support the wider department in contributing to the development and improvement of the Computer Science curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and the School's educational goals.

* Implement regular AFL to monitor pupil progress from lesson-to-lesson, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Also conduct regular summative assessment in line with departmental/school policy, maintaining accurate records of outcomes for reporting and analysis.

* Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, managing classroom behaviour effectively through consistent use of the School's behaviour policy.

* Engage and actively participate in wider professional responsibilities such as lunchtime duty, parents evenings, and transition open evenings as required by the School.

Qualification Requirements:

* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on Computer Science Education is highly advantageous, but not essential. Experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered.

* A degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a strong understanding of subject-specific knowledge.

* Proven experience as a Secondary Computer Science Teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is positive, but strong ECTs will also be considered.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.

* A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.

* A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain.

* 2x Satisfactory References
