Position: Teaching Assistant

Location: Hornchurch

Start Date: September 2024

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with a creative and imaginative Year 3 child with Autism. This role is perfect for someone who is patient, and eager to contribute to an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Located a short walk from Hornchurch Station, the primary school is easily accessible via public transport.

For this role, you will be required to work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) from 8.30am to 3.30am.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to a Year 3 child with Autism, helping them to access the curriculum and develop social skills.
Implement individualised learning plans and adapt teaching methods to meet the child's unique needs.
Use creative strategies to engage and motivate the child, fostering a love for learning.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
Encourage positive interactions and support the child's emotional well-being.Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with Autism or special educational needs is preferred.
A creative and flexible approach to teaching.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
