Salary/ Rate: £17.14ph overtime available at time and a half

Ristara Engineering is working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of aerospace components based in Essex who have been established for 30 years. They are renowned for machining, assembly, inspection, fabrication and sheet metal.

Manufacturing parts for precision aerospace companies, you will become part of a well-respected company within the UK. The position will be based at the site in Basildon, Essex. Our client currently looking for a manual machinist to add contract support to the work force to assist with the growth of the business.

Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks (disclosure & barring service) may be required. Please also note at this time we do not offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Responsibilities and Duties are required for the Manual Miller role:

• Manual milling experience required

• Experience setting and operating Bridge Port Manual Millings machines

• CNC experience advantageous

• confident in use of measuring equipment like micrometres, verniers, bore mics, thread/plug gauges

• Experience in an engineering background – producing aircraft parts desirable

• understand technical drawings both metric/imperial

• Able to work alone and under own initiative

Qualifications and Skills are required for the Manual Miller role:

An Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification is desirable
