Our client is looking for a Principal Engineer to join as a key asset to their Business Systems department. Your main role will be providing day to day maintenance of the cloud infrastructure, to recommend improvement projects and support its implementation.
The team itself is small and close-knit, with a diverse group of people. They are responsible for providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for network and IT services, implementing IT projects and data engineering service.
Key Responsibilities:
* To conceptualise, design and deliver solutions as per defined scope and standards
* Review the architecture and design deliverables and support as a SME
* Keep up to date with all the latest technologies to keep the network and infrastructure is current
* Train and develop the team to ensure efficient delivery and mitigate risks
* Be a decision maker, making recommendations and highlighting problems and solutions
* Manage the helpdesk service level agreement
* present public and hybrid cloud-based architectural design concepts and solutions
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Microsoft AZ 900 Azure fundamentals
* Knowledge of cloud technologies and systems
* At least 1-2 years’ experience implementing Cloud based networks
* Experience administering, managing and troubleshooting SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive
* VM configuration and deployment
* Azure files
* Managing organisation file storage
Desirable skills:
* Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud
* Implementation experience of ITIL
* Intune laptop deployment
* Physical network management
* Line management experience
