Burman are hiring an interim Director of Strategic Marketing for a key public sector client. The role of Director of Strategic Marketing is pivotal in shaping and driving the University's marketing efforts to achieve strategic objectives. This senior position is responsible for leading the Marketing team, developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy, and spearheading student recruitment campaigns. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to manage and allocate resources effectively. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the University's brand, increasing student enrolment, and ensuring a high return on investment for marketing activities.

Main Duties:

Team Management:

Lead the Marketing team, including key managers.
Manage the marketing budget
Align resources with divisional objectives.

Marketing Strategies:

Develop a student recruitment and marketing strategy for UK recruitment.
Align recruitment marketing with University brand strategy and school activities.
Collaborate on student recruitment advertising strategies.

Promotional Campaigns:

Create effective recruitment campaigns and materials.
Ensure materials cater to both home and international markets.
Ensure campaigns align with University strategy.

CRM Campaigns:

Develop and lead a CRM strategy.
Implement and review annual CRM campaigns.

Evidence-Based Marketing:

Set KPIs and ensure effective ROI for recruitment campaigns.
Keep marketing data updated.
Support market research to inform portfolio development.

Monitoring ROI:

Monitor marketing ROI.
Provide reports and recommend improvements.
Support Heads of School in their marketing plans
