Location: Southwark, London

Are you a passionate and dedicated Lecturer with experience in teaching students with Special Needs? We are recruiting for a leading SEN College in Southwark who are looking for a SEN Lecturer. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students aged 16-25 with Special Needs, working at pre-entry level.

You will be delivering a curriculum based on the four Preparing for Adulthood pathways- Good Health, Independent Living, Employment and Friends, Relationships and the  Community. A large part of learning  takes place in a variety of community based settings.

This is a full-time, long term role with a view to going permanent and will be to start as soon as possible. The salary will be equal to the Lecturers’ pay scale plus SEN points.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with ASD at pre-entry level.
Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities within the student body.
Provide individualised support to students.
Implement strategies to enhance communication and social skills development.
Conduct ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to student development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Relevant teaching qualification (QTLS, QTS, or equivalent).
Specialisation in ASD education and experience working with students at pre-entry level.
Knowledge of diverse teaching methods and adaptive strategies for students with Special Needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to promoting inclusivity and fostering a positive learning environment.
