Job title: Craft Operative - Painter and Decorator
Pay rate: PAYE £15.42 | Umbrella £19.03
Location: Huddersfield,
Contract: Temporary, 3 months, Mon-Thur (Apply online only), Fri (Apply online only), 37 hours a week
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The postholder will be responsible for the decoration, internal and external, of Council properties, public buildings and schools
To ensure as far as reasonably practicable the satisfaction of the client or tenant with regard to quality of work, prompt services and conduct wherever work is to be carried out
Carrying out damp and mould treatment across all council properties
To ensure all relevant records, for example timesheets, are completed correctly by postholder as laid down by existing procedures
To keep abreast of technological developments within their trade
Must be prepared to work overtime as requiredEDUCATION AND SKILLS:
City & Guilds/NVQ III in appropriate trade or equivalent
Hanging of wide fabric and paper lining
Apprentice trained Painter and Decorator.
Application of sprayed finishes
Working in a maintenance environment in domestic properties and schools
