HGV Technician
We are seeking motivated HGV Technicians to join our team of professionals. The position is a varied and interesting position with no two days the same. You will be working on a variety of interesting projects; new and used specialist heavy haulage trailers, new and used recovery vehicles and HGV commercials. Hydraulic and electrical experience, ABS/EBS and diagnostics would be an advantage, but not essential, as product training will be given.
Responsibilities as a HGV Technician:

Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various trailers to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
*
Work on our own equipment, some third-party work is undertaken, but most of the work is on new specialist heavy transport trailers, new Heavy Recovery vehicles, and other very specialised vehicles.
*
Make bespoke modifications and innovative designs to vehicles and trailers, so sometimes thinking outside the box is important.
*
Full training and help to integrate into this challenging role will be given with training on specific items.
*
Some off-site work and exhibition attendance may be required occasionally. See us on our FB page or website.
Location: Leeds, LS26 0JB Hours: DAYS ONLY 7AM-5PM Monday to Friday, we believe at Rydam Work life balance is important and therefore we don’t work weekends, however there is the potential to top up your hours throughout busy periods.
Earning Potential: • DAYS £41k-45k

What will you do & what will you need as a HGV technician?
As a part of your role, you will be responsible for maintaining our high standards.
*
This includes ensuring that all work is completed on time and in compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
*
You should be able to accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical faults with Trailers and vehicles, communicate technical information to your teammates, and escalate any issues to relevant managers.
*
You should also possess a keen eye for detail and ensure that all work is accurately documented.
*
Additionally, you’ll demonstrate good diagnostic and fault-finding skills ensuring first-time fix.
*
Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in a fast-paced environment.
*
A self-motivated individual who can work on their own and who will strengthen our existing workforce due to increased projects.
Training and funding can however be supported to achieve your Irtec after a successful length of service.
