About the Role:
Company is looking for a dedicated and skilled Buyer to join our Leading & Trailing Edge Procurement team in Filton. The role involves contributing to all sourcing activities throughout the contract life cycle, managing tendering and contract negotiation, including cost reduction and change management. As the focal point for your contracts, you will cover various Company commercial programmes with Aerostructures Procurement, leading projects as needed, managing day-to-day relationships with suppliers, and optimizing customer value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Activities: Set up and lead procurement activities for products, ensuring the contractual framework with suppliers.
Sourcing and Negotiation: Lead sourcing activities, managing tendering and contract negotiation to achieve the best purchasing conditions in line with company requirements and procedures.
Contract Monitoring: Monitor contracts with suppliers and company stakeholders to ensure full application of terms and conditions, ensuring suppliers deliver expected performance in logistics, support, quality, and cost.
Supplier Relationship Management: Act as the main focal point for contracts internally and externally, managing day-to-day relationships with suppliers and running projects to optimize customer value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks.
Multi-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with the Multi-Functional Team (Engineering, Programme, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, etc.) for all contract-related activities.
Strategy and Analysis: Assist in defining and implementing the commodity strategy, perform market analysis, and support global sourcing and offset initiatives.
Financial Forecasting: Ensure accurate financial forecasts together with Financial Controlling in relation to financial risks and opportunities for the suppliers/contracts.
Risk and Opportunity Management: Embed risk and opportunity management in daily operations, ensuring all opportunities for counterclaims are collated and charged back to the supplier.
Required Skills and Experience:

Procurement Experience: Proven experience in procurement is essential. Applicants with strong business experience and knowledge of the procurement process are also welcomed.
Multi-Functional Environment: Experience working in a multi-functional environment.
Stakeholder Management: Experience in stakeholder management and influencing internal customers.
Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, including at the senior management level.
Desirable Knowledge: Knowledge of commercial, contract, and finance is desirable
