Coatings Inspector

Role Profile

QC Inspectors are responsible for providing independent Quality Control and weld inspection services across a range of disciplines.

You will be an experienced Inspector, fit and able to work at height and confined spaces. As an experienced Mechanical Inspector professional you will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and be able to operate on sites with minimal supervision.

Your role will involve working in a client facing environment on sites with differing working cultures. As such you will be demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.

Experience

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the inspection of Welded fabrications / manufactured equipment

* Sound understanding and qualification where necessary in Materials and Welding

Qualifications

Coatings Inspectors shall have 2 years’ experience with the following qualifications:

* C&G Cert / or equivalent experience in Fabrication & Welding and/or HNC/BTec in appropriate engineering discipline.

* NACE / BGAS / ICORR (Coatings)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.

* Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction.

* Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP’s fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR’s.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

* Have a good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.

* Be able to demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work.

* Have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of influencing and negotiating, particularly in technical discussions relating to Inspection.

* Have good technical writing and communication skills.

* Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements

* Good working knowledge and application of ISO 9001
