Wiring Technician

Highbury Recruitment are working with a Client who require a wiring technician to assemble wiring harnesses.

You will be required to assemble a wide range of cables, looms and electrical connections to a number of components both L.V. and H.V. in support of the company products.

Key responsibilities

The assembly of wiring harnesses to a very high standard.

Be able to read and interpret electronic / mechanical drawings

Be able to receive a component kit, check all components needed are present and then build to the specified drawing.

Use of hand tools for wire cutting, crimping, soldering and making electrical connections.

Log build details on company computer system

Ensure all equipment and tooling are in good working order, reporting any concerns

Key skills and relevant experience

Able to identify colour and has a strong eye / hand coordination

The ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings

Experience with hand tools such as callipers, multi-meters, wire cutting tools

Experience with soldering, crimping and testing

Attention to detail

Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) literate

Willing to carry out other duties, within own capabilities, as instructed by Line Manager
