Systems Integration Developer

An opportunity awaits a skilled Systems Integration Developer where you will support the application of the client's fuel systems, including fuel injection hardware, Engine Control Units, software, and calibrations. This support will enable their customers to maximize engine efficiencies and contribute to a carbon-neutral economy.

The client is well established company renowned for designing fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket parts for internal combustion engine vehicles and industrial applications. They are now looking to grow their system integration team due to organic growth.

In this role, you will be part of a small, customer-focused team, implementing and integrating the company's components as a system for both ON and OFF Highway OEMs. Our systems are designed to enhance engine efficiency and performance for OEMs. The company also support projects that enable the switch from diesel to hybrid and hydrogen fuels, ensuring the necessary flexibility, durability, and longevity for the commercial vehicle sector.

The ideal candidate should have automotive engineering experience and excel in system integration tasks, following project plans and quality processes. They must efficiently resolve technical issues, manage prototype logistics, and support customer meetings and design reviews. Strong skills in eliciting requirements, managing specifications, and supporting risk assessments are essential. Additionally, they should build relationships with customers and engineering teams, and promote cross-functional working practices.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in FIS project System Integration tasks according to Customer and PHINIA project plans, ensuring compliance with PHINIA quality processes.
Supporting the component and project team in adhering to required processes, and efficiently addressing technical issues using problem-solving tools.
Managing prototype part logistics and participating in Design Reviews.
Gathering customer requirements and creating a 'Book Of Requirements' to manage component specifications within the system.

Automotive and mechanical engineering background
Able to commute to the clients Gillingham office
H&S and environmental awareness
Proficient at analyzing intricate and abundant data to resolve complex issues effectively.
