Warehouse Supervisor

A 12 week Temp to Perm opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Supervisor to join a rapidly growing company who specialise in deliveries, removals and storage solutions based in Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire

As an Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that the general day to day warehouse operation is executed, management and leadership of a team of Warehouse Operatives and general warehouse duties.

Role details:

* Monday to Friday

* 8am till 5pm

* 12 week temp to perm opportunity

* £16.81* per hour

As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for:

* Manage and lead a team of warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe operation of the warehouse.

* Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of furniture inventory.

* Implement and maintain efficient warehouse processes, including inventory management and order fulfilment.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

* Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of furniture to customers.

* Conduct regular inventory audits and maintain accurate records of warehouse inventory.

* Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.

* Conduct Quality checks on goods and keep an accurate record of findings and keep accounts manager and clients updated.

* Organize and maintain fleet - take vehicles to the garage for services and maintenance.

Person Specification:

* Proven experience in warehouse management, preferably in the furniture or logistics industry.

* Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

* Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

* Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.

* Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* UK driving Licence required

* Reach Forklift experience

*Rate is inclusive of holiday pay.
